Competition Details and Rules

Venue : Hillview峰景 Golf Club C-D Course

Form of Play : Gross Section – Stroke Play;

Net Section – Handicap stroke play (System36 – max. handicap 36)

Ø     If a player is on the winners’ list of both gross and net sections, he/she will be awarded the higher ranking prize amongst the two sections and his/her name will be taken off the other list.  He/She will then be replaced by the next ranked player, and

If a player has the same ranking in both sections, he/she will take the gross prize and the next ranked player in the net section will take his/her place.

Max. Stroke : Maximum stroke counted for each hole is quadruple bogey (i.e. 9 for Par 5s’, 8 for Par 4s’ and 7 for Par 3s’).

Tee : Men – Blue, Ladies – White
Closest-to-pin : All Par3s’ Hole i.e. Hole No.2 & Hole No.5 for Course C; Hole No.11, & Hole No.16 for Course D

Rules : The Rules of Golf of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews as adjusted by the Local Rules will apply.  Drop zones are to be played as per the Local Rules unless otherwise specified.
Mulligan: No mulligan play would be allowed
Gimmie: Gimmie would be allowed with consent by other players in the same group and provided that the Ball within one putter length (rubber grip not included) to the hole will be regarded as hole-out on addition of One Stroke (i.e. no need to putt + one stroke).  The measuring putter should be the shortest putter used by a player in the flight.

Players should consult his/her marker in case of doubt.  If still undecided, play a second ball, record both scores and consult the Committee after the round.

Players must mark his/her -1, 0, +1, +2 etc on the scorecard to a maximum of +4 for each hole (i.e. the maximum score one should record is 7 for Par 3’ s, 8 for Par 4’ s, and 9 for Par 5’ s).

Players must exchange scorecards with his/her named marker.  Both player and marker should check and agree upon the scores after the round and both sign on the cards before turning them in to the tournament scorer.  Any amendment/alteration must be countersigned by the marker.

Competition Committee : In case of any dispute, the Competition Committee consisting    3 person namely A, B, C  will make the final decision.

Decision on Ties : In the event of a tie in the competitions the result will be decided by the following count back procedure:

Gross Section

The winner will be the player having the lowest gross score on Hole No. 10-18 and then from Hole No. 13-18 and 16-18 and finally Hole No. 18.  If this system does not produce a winner, the result will be decided by the lowest gross score on Hole No. 1-9 and then from 4-9 and 7-9 and finally Hole No. 9. If a winner is still not determined, the result will be decided by the toss of a coin.

Net Section

The winner will be the player having the lowest System 36 Handicap Index.  If the tying players have the same System 36 Handicap Index, the winner will be decided by the same system as described above for the Gross Section.

Prizes : Prize for Gross score Champion, Champion, 1^st and 2^nd runner-up for net scores.Prize for Closest to pin on Hole No. 2, Hole No.5, Hole No.11,  Hole No.16.

Slow Play : :

To avoid slow play, players should:
Ø      Keep up with the flight ahead,
Ø      always play a provisional/second ball if in doubt; and
mark the maximum stroke on the scorecard and pick-up if quadruple bogey is anticipated to finish the hole.

Indemnity : Players are advised to arrange their own golf and travel insurance.  Any damage to the Golf Club’s properties, including golf buggies, is the sole responsibility of the concerned player. 高爾夫球興趣小組 shall not be liable for any possible loss or damage of the players or other people or property, before, during or after the course of this Tournament.
